Christy, Natalie, Josephine, Tom ,and Jack.
Once upon a time there was a highschool. This highschool had great students and among them were a strange group of friends they're names were Christy, Natalie, Josephine, Tom, and Jack... Now how they came together was pretty funny story, and if you feel like listening, I'll tell you!
Christy was the shy one, the meek one...to those that didn't know her very well. On the outside, she seems nice and pretty, cute and polite...but man, oh man, you would never be able to guess how crazy and wild she can become. She's got amazing talent in her singing voice, so of course she was in the choir (we'll get back to that in a bit) and was usually pretty reserved and only spoke to her group of friends at school. Key word : was.
Natalie , on the other, putting it plainly...was not. She was like crazy put in human form, crazy awesome that is. She was all over the place, always smiling, always laughing...usually at nothing in particular which led to people questioning her sanity but she doesn't care. She only recently moved to this school a couple years before...and never really into a group of friend til she got to know Christy well in choir. She loves to sing also...and sometimes when she and Christy sang choir songs during lunch, it really annoyed Josephine. But oh well.
Josephine...oh....Josephine..what to say about her... Well, she's a klutz..loves music..loves to sing...and likes her dog. And what else? Oh yeah!!!!! She's a genius at writing of course! From poems to songs to stories....She aspires to become an interior designer one day...nd Natalie has first dibs on her house being designed. She's cool, cute, out going..kind of. Depends on her mood and who she's with because catch her at the wrong time with the right guy and her face is tomato red. Sometimes late, and a little frazzled...but that's oky...'cause that's how we love her.
Tom. Okay so basically Tom is a synonym for Bible. He lives by it. He breathes it. And he probably uses it as a pillow too. :D
So guess what his favourite class is? To be honest, I'm not sure...Bible or Choir? Who knows? All we know is that up until a certain point in time, the only people he talked to were never girls. So as you could all imagine, he seemed pretty foreign to some people and even surprised Natalie when they began to Facebook chat. And in the past couple weeks, I'm pretty sure that Tom's found a lot of reasons to thank Zuckerberg.
Now finally it's Jack's time to shine. Not that he ever has trouble shining...in class that is. Total nerd, total geek...absolute awesome. But tall. Always speaks up in , you'll never have trouble getting this guy to air his opinions..In fact , you probably shouldn't try because chances are, he knows more about what you're talking about than you do...unless it's about the Bible..that's Tom's area of expertise. Jack is great to hang out with...when he's not being annoying, but that's okay...you get used to it...after a while. In general, great friend to have, esp. if you're having trouble in Physics (as Natalie as learned) and what's more, he get's straight to the point...in other words, if he finds out you like someone and they like you...he will tell....I'm serious.
Just ask Tom and Christy...Which brings me back to this story...
It all started back in grade 9 when Tom first saw her face. He saw it to be beautiful, inncoent, godly...and he knew that somewhere in his heart, she had made a mark and she hadn't even known it yet. He kept this secret with him for a very long time, two years in fact...and while life around him kept changing, this feeling never faded.
I think that mainly one of the reasons that he cared so much about her was because he was never revealed her character to its true fullness. Back in the day, before Natalie had arrived...Christy was pretty quiet at school, in class.. when she wasn't with her buddies...and Tom had no way of knowing this before because he had rarely spoken to her...so all he had to go on was her sweet smile. Even though underneath
that sweet smile was a wild child screaming to get out.
So during those two years when Tom silently yearned and Christy obviously oblivious to her ever so secret admirer, not much really happen. I'll do y'all a favor and skip all that boring stuff of Natalie transferring, Josephine spilling tea everywhere while rushing to Spanish class, and Jack growing three feet...
......It had been a boring day at home...what with it being winter break and all.. Natalie decided to go on Facebook ('cause she's addicted) and to her surprise she got a pop-up on Facebook. Apparently, Tom wanted to talk to her. "What? Tom? Noo....." she thought becausee she never spoke to him, and she'd always knew that he didn't approve of the way she acted (not the she cared at all). They started they're conversation...it was the same old "Hi" "Hey" "What's up?" Nothing much" "goin' to church later" "Have fun *smiley face* lol "...At the time she was also chatting with Christy and until then she hadn't noticed that Christy wasn't saying very much. So Natalie was just there, tryna talk to both of them...one who responded and one who didn't and suddenly Christy typed
"Are you talking to Tom?"
"Yeah....why? Are YOU talking to him?"
"Yeah....." Or something like that.....
And then somehow that got Natalie into mentioning Christy in the conversation she was having with Tom. After awhile...it seemed pretty obvious that Tom liiked Christy but Natalie was not convinced. This was not the Tom that she knew...or thought that she knew.
"Do you like her?!"
"Who?"
"...Christy?"
"Well....."
"OMG!!! YOU DO!!!"
"um"
"Right? Yes! Tom likes Christy!!!!!!"
"....uhh...."
And it went on like that for a very long time until Tom went to Church and Natalie was left all alone...giggling. You see, before he left, Natalie made him once and for all tell her if he liked Christy or not.
"Okay, fo' shiz', do you have a crush on Christy?"
"...Do I have to answer!?"
"Okay fine. Yes you do. I have decided"
" :) "
"Haha! That smiley face means something."
"..."
"I'm not gonna tell her, y'know. You're gonna have to do that yourself."
"Ok"
"Do it in person."
"Fine. I have to go to Church now.. My brother's calling me"
"Have fun!!"
"Bye"
"bye"
"bye"
"OMG Just leeeave."
"Fine. bye"
"bye."
" :) "
Natalie was pretty surpised that one of her close friends was being "secretly" admired...the secret burned in her heart. She knew that she had to keep it or else she could ruin possibly one of the most greatest love stories of all time!! but oh my goodness...she just couldn't. So the rest of winter break went by...Meanwhile the entire time, Tom was still msging Christy over Facebook chat. I guess he was trying to just do what Nat told him to do...to actually start "talking" to his terminal crush. But apparently...Facebook was not going to help them very much in the future. Not in Nat's mind anyways...and apparently not in Jack's either....
...So anyways....this over the facebook chat wooing thing went on for a couple days...maybe a week...then school started just the same as before...until Natalie realized how attached to her iPod Christy had become. So one day in Bible class, Natalie confronted her about this attachment...through notes in Nat's planner. Funny because this annoyed Jack and at that time he was still on 'suspecting' that something was going on.
..When Natalie figured out that Christy liked Tom just as well...to be honest, she didn't like where this was going. Not because she wasn't happy for the both of them but more because they started talking and continued to limit their conversations to the tap-tapping and the click-clicking of iPod msgs, back and forth, over and over, literally from dawn to dusk on the weekends. She didn't want to accept what this was foreshadowing because it didn't show any signs of changing in the future. It foreshadowed two people both wanting to change their habits when they...can't. Two people who want to get to know each other better but were limited by themselves in the way to communicate. In the long run, it seemed like it was really gonna suck for the two.
One Monday afternoon Christy and Natalie decided to get together and watch Despicable Me (since christy had never seen it before and she wanted to). They talked about it in Bible class and Jack overheard so he became part of the plan as well and they all chilled at 's house after school that day. Unfortunately for Jack and Natalie, Christy's fingers were glued to her iPod and she couldn't stop "talking" to a certain someone whom Jack (at the time) didn't know about. So after awhile it seriously began to piss Jack and Natalie off so then since Jack didn't know who Christy liked, Natalie threatened to tell him if she kept on being annoyingly obsessed. Eventually, it was just too much and Jack had to steal away Christy's iPod and see who had been hypnotizing her and guess who it was... Dear old Tom Munsyak. The rest of the stuff after that was a blur, something having to do with talking on the phone and calling him and facebooking him, wrestling to get to the phone...it was all very immature but fun nonetheless. So in the end Jack found out about the insanely queer (meaning strange NOT homosexual) love story that was Christy and Tom. and he spilled the beans. Which really secretly annoyed Nat because she was trying to get Tom to tell her in person but whatever at least Jack's way was efficient. What the two (Christy and Tom) were now really worried about was how awkward the next day was gonna be. In fact, they stayed up all hours of the night talking about it. Over facebook. *cough* Pathetic *cough*.
So Jack and Natalie knew how much the two wanted to chill and talk and all that other good stuff so during winter break they staged an awesome sauce get together at Jack's place. It was snowy outside and the cold crisp winter air was blowing, perfect day for chillin' like a villain, and the perfect day for some matchmaking magic. ;)
Jack's mom named Laura drove them all to their place and they went eat some Kraft dinner. And even though Jack made it a little too soup, it was good...everybody loves KD. But of course before they ate, Tom prayed for the food. In Ukrainian.
So anyways, during this meal the usual conversation topics came up and it was fun to talk and chill with people you haven't seen since the day before, until the two boys started talking about cars. Ford XZR's and cars with standard transmission...Ooh! and the ones with the V8 engine versus the V6 one...Yep....This majorly annoyed Christy and Natalie, for all they knew...Tom and Jack were speaking in gibberish.
After they ate, they all made they're way to Jack's room and figured out that Natalie was as tall as Jack when he was ten. Sadface. Then they played some Wii in which Christy absolutely dominated Mario Kart, then they went downstairs and watched part of an episode of Top Gear and Jack and Tom played some racing game...
You may be wondering why I am skimming over these parts so quickly and not in detail. Well, the answer is because none of the the fun truly started happening until they were outside on the empty field, in the snow. That's when a certain somebody's mischievious side came out to play...
